Privacy Policy
Garoop Inc. ("we") respects the privacy of children, guardians and all users, and handles personal information in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan (APPI). The Japanese version of this policy is the official version.

2. Information we collect
Account information (name or nickname, email, login data, and identifiers/profile data provided by social login services such as Google, X, Facebook, LINE and TikTok); optional profile information (age, gender, birthplace, etc.); usage history; works and uploaded files; text entered into AI features and the responses; inquiries; device and browser information, IP address, access logs and cookie identifiers; plan and payment information (plan, payment status, Stripe customer/subscription identifiers, wallet address and transaction ID used for JPYC payments). Card numbers are handled by Stripe and are not stored by us.
3. Purposes of use
Providing the Service, identity verification and account management; operating training, posting, submission and AI features; accepting and billing paid plans and managing points; support and inquiries; analysis and improvement; preventing misuse and enforcing our Terms; sending notices; featuring works within the scope of Section 9 of the Terms.
4. Children
Minors must use the Service and register personal information with a Guardian's consent. We will obtain a Guardian's consent before publishing information that identifies a child outside the Service. Please remind children not to enter addresses, school names or phone numbers into public areas or AI features.
5. Provision to third parties
We do not provide personal data to third parties without consent of the individual (or Guardian for minors), except as permitted by law.
6. Outsourcing and transfers outside Japan
We entrust personal data to the following providers. For providers outside Japan, we confirm under Article 28 of the APPI that they maintain systems meeting the standards set by the Personal Information Protection Commission and take necessary measures through contracts. Details are available on request.
- Amazon Web Services (servers and file storage; mainly the Tokyo region, Japan)
- Google LLC (USA): AI responses (Gemini), analytics (Google Analytics), social login
- Groq, Inc. (USA): AI responses
- Stripe, Inc. (USA): card payments
- Slack Technologies, LLC (USA): internal sharing of submissions and inquiries
- Resend (USA): email delivery
- Upstash, Inc. (USA): rate limiting (IP address)
7. Blockchain information
For JPYC payments, the wallet address, amount and time are recorded publicly on the Polygon blockchain. We do not control this record and it cannot be deleted.
8. Information sent from your device (cookies, etc.)
Recipient: Google LLC (Google Analytics). Information: page URL, referrer, device/browser information, IP address, cookie identifiers, time of access. Purpose: analyzing and improving the Service. Opt-out: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. We also use our own cookies to keep you logged in and prevent misuse.
9. Security measures
We designate a person responsible for personal data, impose confidentiality obligations on staff and contractors, protect devices from loss or theft, apply access control, encryption and protection against unauthorized access, and understand the privacy laws of countries where data is processed.
10. Retention
We keep information as long as needed for the purposes above and legal obligations, and delete it without delay when no longer needed.
11. Your rights
You or your Guardian may request notification of purposes, disclosure (including records of third-party provision), correction, deletion, suspension of use, and suspension of third-party provision. Contact us by email; we will respond without delay after verifying identity. No fee is charged.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. Important changes will be announced on the Service.
